About Us
Cindy Rundell – Owner
Cynthia (Cindy) Rundell RN started working as a contractor for SMc Home Care Solutions in 2015, and filled various roles as a contractor including serving as an account manager. Cindy has worked closely with Sharon ever since in the day to day operations.
In 2025, when Sharon decided to retire from the business, Cindy took the opportunity to step into the role of owner. Cindy worked very closely with Sharon in the months leading up to the transition and afterwards, with the goal to make the change in ownership as seamless as possible and to continue the same high standard of service for which SMc Home Care Solutions is known.
Cindy’s resumé includes 28 years of experience in various roles in nursing, including working as an RN staff and charge nurse in various hospital units like Cardiac and Step-down ICU, as a home care nurse visting patients at home, and as a House Supervisor. This experience spans multiple health care providers in the Central Indiana and Cincinnati area.
Cindy holds the Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D) and Home Care Clinical Specialist – OASIS (HCS-O) certifications as well as a BSN from Anderson University. Cindy is licenced as an RN in the State of Indiana.
Sharon McKnight – Founder
Sharon McKnight RN founded SMc Home Care Solutions in 2012 with the desire to empower others with her experience and expertise related to home healthcare and the patient population in which it serves.
With over 15 years of homecare experience, Sharon offers clinical excellence, expertise, and experience to the home healthcare agency, their leadership team, and clinical staff.
Sharon’s resumé includes her home health career beginning as a RN staff nurse and team leader; advancing to Patient Care Coordinator, Clinical Manager and OBQI Officer, and most recently serving as an Interim Administrator. Prior to her state-side nursing career, Sharon served as a Missionary and Community Nurse Educator to Honduras, Central America.
Sharon’s professional achievements include certifications from the Board of Medical Specialty Coding and OASIS. She is a Saint Vincent Professional Nursing Recognition Award Nominee and a Clinical Ladder Recipient.
